Title: New Eye to an Immersive Holographic World at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo

In the realm of museum experiences, the integration of Mixed Reality (MR) technologies, exemplified by the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, enhances visitor engagement. This talk explores the impact of Microsoft HoloLens in augmenting museum experiences with holographic content. Conducted at the Egyptian Museum, the project utilized HoloLens for overlaying holographic images onto exhibits. MR experience has heightened engagement, improved educational value, and an enriched understanding of exhibits. To share our successful implementation indicates a promising future for integrating advanced technologies in cultural and educational institutions, offering a more accessible and engaging historical and cultural education. Future research should delve into the long-term impacts and diverse applications of MR technologies in museums and exhibitions.

Mixed Reality

The beauty of Tangible User Interface with Mixed Reality

Mixed reality (MR) has the power to blend the digital and physical worlds, offering a unique and immersive experience. Our everyday computer interactions revolved around Graphical User Interfaces (GUI) and the Windows-Icon-Menu-Pointer (WIMP) paradigm, where actions were mapped and symbolized on a screen. To enhance user interaction with mixed reality applications, we require a paradigm beyond the conventional WIMP model. Seeking to provide an alternative beyond this dominant model, Ishii and Ullmer introduced the concept of Tangible User Interfaces (TUIs) in 1997. TUI is an interface type that interlinks physical representations and digital information which potentially incorporates well with MR technology. This talk mainly revisits the past key research on the TUI and explores the TUI for MR application.

Metaverse

Title: Beyond the Hype of the Metaverse – How Enterprises Can Utilize the Metaverse for Growth

This talk will explore how the Metaverse can be utilized as a tool for enterprise growth and innovation beyond its hype. It will cover potential use cases, challenges, and strategies for leveraging the Metaverse for business success. Attendees will gain insights into the practical applications and benefits of the Metaverse for enterprises and why it’s important for businesses to pay attention to this emerging technology.

Human CentricĀ

Title : Implementation of Integrated Immersive Technologies for Futuristic Human Centric Transformation

The talk explores the implementation of integrated immersive technologies in achieving a futuristic human-centric transformation. Embracing advancements such as Mixed Reality (MR), Virtual Reality (VR), and Augmented Reality (AR), the study investigates their combined impact on reshaping human experiences and interactions. The research delves into how these immersive technologies contribute to a transformative paradigm, focusing on user-centric applications and their potential for revolutionizing various aspects of human life. The abstract aims to provide insights into the practical applications, challenges, and possibilities associated with the integration of immersive technologies for future human-centric transformations.

Emotion in Metaverse

Title: Crafting Emotionally Immersive Experiences in the Metaverse

In this talk, we will discuss the importance of emotions as the cornerstone of immersive experiences. Before delving into the essential function of emotions in constructing immersive experiences, we will first investigate the interconnected realms of mixed reality and the vast metaverse. We’ll look at some success stories and current accomplishments. Simultaneously, problems such as user emotions, data privacy, and the impact on mental health inside the interconnected metaverse, ethical considerations, and digital well-being will be examined. As a takeaway, we will discuss how designers and developers may collaborate to build emotionally pleasant virtual environments.
