Call for Papers.

Extended reality (XR) will uplift the user experience in the metaverse through metaverse-focused devices like AR smart glasses, haptics, hologram displays, and VR headsets. Such devices can facilitate numerous physical services in the virtual world and help users steer through the metaverse smoothly. We also believe that the social concerns behind the metaverse can be addressed by designing experiences with people at the center, similar to how AI can be more human-centered with a mindful, people-first approach.

3rd International Conference on Virtual and Mixed Reality 2023 intends to bring together the community of researchers from academia and industry, computer scientists, engineers, physicians in order to share points of views, knowledge, experiences and scientific and technical results, related to state-of-the-art solutions and technologies on virtual and mixed reality that recently known as Extended Reality applications for edutainment, medical, cultural heritage, education, industrial sectors, as well as the demonstration of advanced products and technologies.

Paper submission

 

Only papers submitted through the electronic system Easychair and strictly adhering to the relevant format will be considered for reviewing and publication.

In submitting a paper the author(s) agree that, upon acceptance, they will prepare the final manuscript in time for inclusion into the published proceedings and will present the paper at the conference.

At least one author must carry out a regular registration and sign the copyright form to allow the publication of the paper in the conference proceedings; the final manuscript will not be published without a regular registration (including payment of the registration fee) before the deadline for camera-ready submission.

Registration & Fee

  • For papers with multiple authors, each author must register separately and pay the applicable registration fee ;
  • cancellation of registration requires a 50% cancellation fee and must be requested in writing by NOV 3, 2023;
  • at least one author of each paper must register and pay the regular registration by the early registration deadline;
  • If the length of the paper exceeds 12 pages, the cost of each extra page (beginning at Page 13) is 25 USD or RM100.

The payment should be done in either Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) or US Dollar (USD). Participants are advised to register before 30 Oct 2023 (Malaysian time: GMT+8) to receive an early registration discount.

Guidelines for video & slide presentation

After acceptance notification. You need to prepare for the presentation and your recording video should follow the following guide :

  • Be 15-minute in length with a visual image of your face must appear in the video
  • Set for HD format (1280 x 720 or other “720p” setting) • Use simple (Arial, Calibri) and large (30+) fonts
  • Avoid using hi-res images
  • Saved as video format (.mp4, .avi, .wmv or .mkv only) file using paper id as the file name. For example “PaperID_5”
  • Record your screen (and microphone) while giving the presentation.
